Yes, the McLaughlin & Sanchez is reopening! But as has been said by many, we are at the end of the beginning but not the end of the COVID-19 crisis. So the office will also be complying with the County of San Diego laws for the reopening of business offices. Therefore the following conditions will be implemented:
- From June 1, 2020 - June 14, 2020 the office will be open Monday through Thursday and closed on Fridays. No in-person office meetings will be permitted during this time.
The staff has over 60 days of backlog to get through before we can reopen for in-person office meetings plus the staff needs time to rearrange our office to allow for social distancing when clients and the public enter the office. There will be only one staff member in the office per day with the other staff member working from home in compliance with recommendations by the County of San Diego. - From June 1, 2020 - June 14, 2020, phones will be answered by the staff, mail will be processed, files will be handled and meetings conducted by telephone, FaceTime, Zoom and other video/telephonic means will go forward.
- From June 15, 2020, on until a yet-to-be determined date, the office will be open Monday through Thursday and closed Fridays. There will be only 1 staff member in the office per day with the other staff member working from home in compliance with recommendations by the County of San Diego. Also in compliance with County of San Diego recommendations, in-person office meeting are discouraged but will be allowed on a case-by-case basis. The strong preference will be for meetings by telephone, FaceTime, Zoom and other video/telephonic means. Clients and the public will not be allowed in the office without a previously scheduled date and time.
- From June 15, 2020, forward the public coming to the office with a previously scheduled meeting and those coming for in-person scheduled meetings must comply with the requirements posted on our office front door which are also posted here. The key criteria being one individual at a time may enter the office, wearing of a face mask at all times in the office, social distancing while in the office, and a requirement of a temperature check before entering the office (if 100 degrees or over you will be rescheduled to another date and time). Should any individual not comply with the posted requirements, they will not be allowed in the office under any circumstances.
